Keita Ibuki is a computer programmer who, with two of his friends, is developing and trying to sell a video game program. He has a chance meeting with a high Mototsumitama named Kuro. He gives her his dinner, a bowl of ramen, and tries to protect her when she is surprise attacked by another Mototsumitama. He loses his left arm, but she exchanges it with her left arm (Mototsumitama have enhanced healing ability).

The entire show revolves around Duke Tougou, an assassin for hire who goes by the codename “Golgo 13″ - a top class sniper with a heavily modified M16 as favourite weapon. His origin remains unknown to the world’s intelligence agencies, but he’s commonly believed to be oriental, with MI6, CIA and KGB assuming at least partial Japanese heritage, and he’s estimated to speak at least 18 languages. The series is of episodic nature, with each week chronicling how Golgo 13 goes through preparations and execution of his mission. Hopefully this short summary of the first episode will be helpful: Golgo 13 is hired for an assassination at a joint request by the FBI and the CIA, orders a custom made sniper rifle, fucks a hooker so hard she wants another go, kills off five mafioso on a revenge strike, picks up the modified rifle, flies over to the site in a propeller plane, then pops the target between the eyes at a distance of 2 km.

Limited editions of volumes 15 and 16 of Kôji Kumeta's Sayonara Zetsubō Sensei manga in Japan will bundle original animation DVDs (OADs) along with a release in between the manga releases. The first OAD will ship with the limited edition of Volume 15 for 3,470 yen on October 17. (The numbers 3, 4, 7, and 0 can be phonetically pronounced in Japanese as "Sa-yo-na-ra.") The in between release will be out on December 10th. The third release will ship with Volume 16 for the same price on February 17. Director Akiyuki Shinbo, the animators at SHAFT, and the music producers at Starchild Record will return from the two earlier television anime series. Likewise, the main cast members will reprise their roles, including Hiroshi Kamiya as the eternally gloomy teacher Nozomu Itoshiki with a class of oddball students.
